Classics to Keep
It is the tradition of Great Hearts and Glendale Prep to inspire students to develop a personal library of literary classics they can keep, annotate, and return to throughout their academic careers. We encourage Parents purchase these “Classics to Keep” as a consumable item so that your student may graduate with an impressive library of personal literary masterpieces.
When purchased as a consumable, all students are provided the same text, delivered directly to the school.
If purchasing independently, students must purchase the exact ISBN provided in the yearly consumable list so that all students use the text aligned with the class and curriculum.
Supply Lists
General and Grade Level Supply Lists are recommended items your student will need for the first day of school. You can purchase these items on your own or through our partner, 1st Day School Supplies.
Purchasing through 1stDay School Supplies guarantees all correct student supplies to be delivered to your home before the first day of school. Click HERE to purchase before June 15, 2026.
Kleenex and whiteboard markers are always in high demand at the school. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
Consumables
These include books published by Glendale Prep, select workbooks, Classics to Keep (novels for Literature, History and Humane Letters) field trip contributions, PSAT and ACT testing fees for 9th-11th grade, house supplies, yearbooks, etc. Consumables for each grade level will be handed out at our Bookstore Event or passed out in class by their teacher.
Please select the appropriate grade level to purchase your student’s “Consumables” PRIOR to the GP Bookstore Event
Textbooks
Textbooks are issued to each student for use during the academic year. Textbooks are placed in student lockers and are required to be covered in brown paper. Brown paper extends the life of textbooks. These textbooks remain the property of the school. This helps to preserve the quality of the book for future students. Please note, families who would like to purchase a second set of textbooks to keep at home may do so, but this is not a requirement.
Home copy textbook donations are always greatly appreciated.
