You MUST wear your school uniform, even though itis spirit day. If you are not in uniform, you will not be permitted to attend.Please bring a sack lunch with disposable containers/bags as well as adisposable water bottle.

CHORAL CONCERT DRESS CODE
Both BOYS and GIRLS must wear BLACK DRESS SHOES in the concert, not sneakers, flip flops, boots not allowed during the academic day, or other casual footwear. Heels of any kind must be very low. For girls, open-toed dress shoes are permitted.
BOYS will wear all black –
•
black long-sleeved collared dress shirts (no tie)
•
black slacks with black belt
•
jewelry must follow guidelines of the academic day
GIRLS will wear all black –
•
black dress, or black blouse with black skirt (or long dress slacks).
•
dresses/skirts must extend to the middle of the shin or longer
•
sleeve length must be cap-sleeve or longer
•
front necklines must be no more than four fingers below the collarbone
•
the back must be completely covered to the base of the neck
•
no cutouts or slits anywhere on clothing
•
a non-transparent black shawl or sweater may be worn to bring the outfit within dress code
•
jewelry and makeup must follow guidelines of the academic day
•
all girls’ clothing must be properly fitted and not be overly form-fitting, therefore, tube dresses (e.g. bodycon), elasticized skin-tight dresses or skirts, or similar styles are NOT to be worn
Attire must be professional, modest, and follow the spirit and letter of Glendale Prep’s dress code guidelines if not describe above.
Boys’ hair must be cut, styled according to dress code. Girls’ hair must be pulled back from the face. This does not need to be harsh, but face must be clearly visible without requiring hands to brush it away.

Youare invited to our SENIORFAFSA NIGHT on Thursday, December 5th, from 6:30 PM to8:00 PM in the MPR (Multi-Purpose Room at Archway.) Natalie Arreola, aRecruitment Coordinator from Arizona State University, will host this event andwalk parents through completing the FAFSA. This application is important forstudents attending college in the Fall of 2025, and we encourage all parents ofseniors to take advantage of this opportunity to receive support in completingthe FAFSA application. 8th Grade Curricular Drama presents... The Phantom Tollbooth! Join 8B and/or 8D and experience the magic of what's possible in a child's imagination! Shows are this Saturday, December 7th at 3 pm (8B) and 6 pm (8D)! Curricular drama performances are always free.
December 11, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
All instrumental ensembles will present their Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 11th students must arrive by 5:00pm concert starts at 6:30 pm. The Instrumental Concert includes the 7th and 8th grade curricular music classes, Jazz Band and Orchestra. All students in middle school curricular music classes are required to participate in the concert as a portion of their music grade. Students who are participating in this concert received detailed information from their teacher/director about the concert.

The first SeniorMini-Retreat is this Wednesday at Mrs. Sarbacker’s home (22619 N 85thAve, Peoria). Students will enjoy fun activities, food, and comradery alongwith an opportunity to present toys to an organization who collects them forneedy children during the holiday season. Students are encouraged to bring onetoy of their choosing for a special child but may bring as many toys as theywish. Please ensure your senior arrives between 9:00 – 9:15 am as attendancewill be taken at 9:15 am and note that students will be released at 11:30 am.If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Sarbacker at ksarbacker@glendaleprep.org.

This is an opportunity for Great Hearts families of 10th and 11th grade students to explore and interact with multiple colleges in a single event. Admissions representatives will give presentations on essay writing, financial aid, and more. We strongly encourage all 10th and 11th grade students to attend the Symposium.
