Four Glendale Prep Seniors Sign to Play Collegiate Sports
Glendale Prep May 20, 2026 -
Four seniors at Glendale Prep were acknowledged as they signed their letters of intent to play college sports during a special signing ceremony at the academy. Only about 6% of high school student athletes earn the opportunity to compete athletically at a collegiate level, making this a significant milestone for these Griffin athletes.
“Thank you for being here today as we celebrate a very special moment for four outstanding student athletes,” announced Noah Roundy, the assistant athletic director at Glendale Prep, during the opening of the celebration. “Today is about commitment, sacrifice, perseverance, and the countless hours these seniors have poured into becoming the young men and women they are today. Behind every signing is years of early mornings, late nights, extra workouts, long practices, injuries, setbacks, and moments where quitting would have been easier. But these athletes chose discipline. They chose growth. They chose to keep showing up. As coaches, we get the privilege of seeing the work that most people never see. the extra shots after practice, the conditioning sessions, the leadership, the accountability, the willingness to put the team first. These four seniors have represented our programs, our school, and their families with pride. None of this happens alone. We also want to recognize the parents, families, teachers, teammates, and supporters who helped guide these athletes throughout their journey. Your sacrifices, encouragement, and belief helped make this day possible.”
Roundy introduced each athlete as he, one-by-one asked them to sign their letters. “Today, these seniors take the next step in their athletic and academic careers as collegiate student athletes. That opportunity was earned through hard work, dedication, resilience, and character.”
Talon Sprouse will play men’s basketball at Benedictine University in Mesa.
Dylan Lincoln will continue his football career at Hastings College in Nebraska.
Emme Larson will play volleyball at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania.
Julian Henao will compete in track and field at Paradise Valley Community College.
“This signing day is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a new chapter,” added Roundy. “The next level will challenge you in new ways, but you have already proven that you are capable of overcoming challenges and rising to expectations. Always remember where you came from. Continue to lead, continue to work, and continue to represent yourselves and your families the right way.”
Join us in extending congratulations to these amazing student athletes. We look forward to hearing about their continued success in the coming years.
