High School Symposium

A big THANK YOU to all our volunteers who came today and helped serve food for the High School Symposium. Students and staff were very appreciative!

Spirit Wear

Homecoming /Spirit Week is here! Need some GP swag? Well, you’re in luck! Glendale Prep SPIRIT WEAR is still available!! Online orders can be placed through the GP PSO Spirit Store. Visit https://www.gpapo.org/shop/  to browse and place your order in advance.* There is no shipping cost and the items will be delivered directly to the school for pickup in the school office when your order is available. There is still time to purchase swag for homecoming if you missed the sale in the courtyard yesterday. Supplies are limited, so don’t miss out!

Teacher Appreciation Lunch

Our next TA lunch is October 25^th!  Thank you to all those who have already signed up but there are still a few spots left. If you would like to donate or volunteer, please sign up HERE. The teachers appreciate it so much!

Field Day- November 8th

We are looking volunteers to help set up and hand out snacks, and man the water station for Field Day. We also need many snack donations for students! If you can help, please use THIS link.

Restaurant Day

Restaurant day is a great way to help raise money for our Senior trip! A percentage of the proceeds during the designated timeframe will be given to help the Seniors pay for this year’s trip to Washington, D.C. Culvers on 83rd Avenue and Deer Valley is our next restaurant event on Thursday October 26^th, 4pm – 8pm. Please stop in for a quick bite and let them know you are with Glendale Prep, so they know you are supporting the event!

Night of the Griffins

Mark your calendars! Night of the Griffins will be February 3^rd, 2024!!  This is a great family and community event held on the Glendale Prep Campus. There is Food, Fun, Friends, and Family!  As you can imagine, this takes a team to make it successful, so we are reaching out early to ask for volunteers. Jenny Haley did a great job organizing the event last year and is still here to help, but we would love it if one of our other parents would be willing to take over the lead position as the head chairperson for this year’s event. Here is a list of volunteers we are looking for to support NOTG 2024:

• Chairperson – Oversee the Event
• Committee Chair – Lead Donations (collection ahead of time and organizing at the event)
• Committee Chair – Food Trucks – Becky Brown (committed)
• Committee Chair – Run the Pickle Ball Tournament
• Committee Chair – Karaoke/Entertainment
• Committee Chair – Rentals (field activities)
• Committee Chair – Logistics (set up team, tear down team, cleaning team)
• Donation of Trophies for Events

We will work on details in meetings held specifically for NOTG, but we will be reviewing tasks in the October PSO meeting and establishing committees, so please attend if you are at all interested in helping with NOTG 2024!

PSO Board Meetings

Our first meeting was great! It was amazing to see some new faces! Our next meeting will be October 5^th at 5:30 pm in the GP Library.  Please see below for the full year’s meeting schedule.

PSO is a fun way to get involved with your student’s academic career. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, and we welcome everyone to come and participate in the Board Meetings. This is an opportunity to share your ideas and be informed about the upcoming events.

Lunches

Our system is now open for weekly ordering, but you can (and this seems easier) order for the whole month in one go. Our weekly ordering closes at 10:00 pm each Thursday evening. Please make sure to email gplunches@gmail.com with questions regarding the lunch program.

Our daily vendors are the following:

Monday – Raising Canes
Tuesday – Culver’s
Wednesday – Half Day: No Lunch Provided
Thursday – Chick Fil A
Friday – Sardella’s
