| Dear Glendale Prep Families,
We hope everyone had a great first month getting back into the routine of school life. There have already been some amazing events. 14th annual Blue and Gold Classic hosted by our cross country teams. We had almost 200 runners who came out. The annual high school retreat was an amazing opportunity for the students to bond and start the year out with adventure, fun, and learning! GP’s first football game where families and students came out and supported, encouraged, and cheered for our football team. The addition of the Spirit Line is an exciting opportunity for our sports to be celebrated. Spirit Wear This year GP implemented casual Fridays. It has been such a terrific opportunity for students and teachers alike to show their school spirit and personalities. We are excited that we have been able to get orders delivered after the bookstore rush. Thank you for patiently supporting us during the re-stocking. Please be patient with Becky Brown, (PSO treasurer, Boonli lunches, & spirit wear), as she is continually working to provide multiple options and availability. Two brand new items can be found at our PSO store next week!!! https://www.gpapo.org/shop/ Teacher Appreciation Lunch Laura Rogers has been an asset to our PSO providing a wonderful luncheon for the teachers monthly! Thank you for financially and physically supporting our teachers if you volunteer. Please keep reading for opportunities to support this gesture of gratitude. Senior Perks Rachel Smith is the lead to celebrate our seniors monthly. This has been a tradition for the last few years. This year there are approximately 66 students in our senior class. Parent participation is necessary to make this event possible. Watch for more information each month. Uniform Exchange Our event at the bookstore was another success. We were able to help many families. This would never have happened without Becky Brown and the volunteers that came out to help. PSO Board Meetings We invite you to come launch innovative ideas and be part of the events for our students and families. Meetings are once a month and require no commitment other than to come. Without volunteers the PSO and APO cannot exist. We hope you will attend so that we can get to know each other. Our first PSO meeting is tomorrow Thursday, Sept. 12th.
Lunches Our system is open for weekly ordering, but you can (and this seems easier) order for the whole month in one go. Our weekly ordering closes at 10:00 PM each Thursday evening. Please make sure to email gplunches@gmail.com with questions regarding the lunch program. Please be patient with Becky Brown, (PSO treasurer, Boonli lunches, & spirit wear) while she is serving your families. Please click HERE to place your lunch orders.
