Teacher Appreciation Lunch

Our next TA lunch will be March 29^th. Please sign up HERE to help. We need help with the donations of quiches for this month’s lunch; any help would be hugely appreciated!

Night of The Griffins (NOTG)

Our Annual Night of the Griffins (NOTG) is approaching rapidly and we need many helpers to pull off this great day. Please use THIS link to help with the event.

We are also in need of donations. If you would like to contribute, please go to the PSO portal HERE and donate to help support this family and community event. The donations are in increments of $25, $50, $100, and $500. Donations up to a $500 contribution will receive a special mention in the Weekly Blast, and anything over $500 will have a banner the day of the event. Please email Jenny at peacheshaley@aol.com with questions about how you can help and for additional information. We are excited for Night of the Griffins!

PSO Monthly Meetings

Thursday, March 30th at 5:30pm in the GP Library is our next meeting. PSO is a great way to get involved and to learn about many different opportunities to serve within the school. Please see below for the dates of the remaining Board meetings for this year.

PSO Committee Members Needed

Have you thought about getting a little more involved in what is going on at Glendale Prep? We have TWO opportunities for you to help!  We have had two amazing ladies managing our Uniform Exchange (Cristie Eisentraut) and Boosters (Stephanie June) and we are so grateful to them!  Thank you both for all your hard work!  However, all good things must come to an end and they are moving on from these positions, so we are reaching out to see if anyone would be interested in taking over these two responsibilities.

Water Festival 2023

Students and families, you are invited to come to our FREE H2O FEST THIS SATURDAY, March 25^th 2023, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the GP courtyard.

Join our beloved teachers and student members of Forces of Nature to discover everything you need to know about our most precious resource, especially in the desert of Arizona: WATER!

• Watch samples of water on the microscope with Ms. Wilt and Dr. Ustach. You can even bring your own labeled sample to Dr. Ustach before the event!
• Discover everything you need to know about groundwater and watersheds on models
• Play the water conservation mystery box
• Learn about the specific Water issues in AZ in a conference presented by Rebecca Bernat, Water Resources Specialist Associate & Technical Administrator of Arizona Water Banking Authority
• Know everything about careers in water thanks to  Peoria Water Department representatives and Mr. Melendez, engineer at Central Arizona Project
• Educate yourself about the specific water issues in Arizona at a conference
• … and participate in other fun activities for ALL AGES + food

Students can also win:

• Stickers of their favorite science teachers
• Points for their House by wearing their House T-shirt
• Privilege day for the grade with the highest attendance

Lunches

Our system is still open for weekly ordering, but you can (and this seems easier) order for the whole month in one go. Our weekly ordering closes at 10:00 pm each Thursday evening. Please make sure to email gplunches@gmail.com with questions regarding the lunch program.

Wednesday – Half Day: No Lunch Provided
Thursday – Chick Fil A
Friday – Barros
