A Note From Headmaster

Hello Parents,

We are one week away from our first day of school! As a team, we are continuing with orientation for teachers to review all the particulars of remote learning and discussing ways to best engage the students. Teachers are very excited to meet the students to share time with them during live instruction, guided practice, discussion, and tutoring.

Remote Learning Student Orientation Video

Mrs. LeTrent and some of our beloved teachers have put together an orientation video for students to view prior to the first day of school on August 6th. It will review how to navigate Google Classroom as well as highlight remote learning expectations, and ways we can continue to build community. Please share this link with your child to be watched prior to the first day of remote learning: https://youtu.be/7ijduo6oKew

***Please note that there was a discrepancy in the video after the 8:00 minute mark. There is a 15- minute break between classes on Wednesdays during the 3-week remote start***

Reminder about Remote Block Schedule

We will be on a block schedule for the 3-week remote start, which means students will not have every class each day. The blocks begin at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m. M, T, TH, and F. On Wednesdays, students will have every class which will begin at the top of each hour between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Students should be checking their Google Classroom daily at these start times to see the agenda for the day, which may include live interaction with their teacher, recorded videos, readings, assignments, and assessments. For live interaction, students should be dressed in uniform and make sure the background of their video is appropriate and free from distraction.
