A Note From Headmaster
Hello Parents,
I hope your extended Spring break has been restful and enjoyable. Please know that we sent an email with information and a link for accessing instruction packets for your son and daughter to work on in the coming week. After a two-week Spring break, students may find it difficult to begin doing schoolwork, especially remotely rather than on campus with their teachers, so please encourage them to form good working habits to ensure they can complete their assignments for each course. In the event we have an extension of school closure for the week of March 30th, we will provide another set of weekly instruction packets.
This is a unique time for all of us, and so while we do not know the future exactly, we plan ahead with wisdom and hope, knowing our community is united in seeking the good for ourselves and each other. I very much miss seeing my teachers, the students and my brief hellos will all of you. You, your families, and our community are in my prayers daily. Please reach out to me directly if you need anything. Wishing you and your family a nice weekend and looking forward to students getting back to learning in the coming week.
Best,
Mr. Navarrette

PSO Corner
LUNCH ORDERS: Currently we have closed online ordering. Note that students might be required to bring sack lunches upon our return to school. Please see future blasts for updated ordering options. Thank you for your understanding.
LUNCH PRE-PURCHASED ORDERS: Our families will be credited for the lunches that were pre-purchased on the days students did not attend school due to the closure. Thank you for your patience.
WATER FOR LUNCH PROGRAM: Recently, our Sam’s Club bottled water order was canceled. We are assuming that their stock is low, and/or they are putting limits on how many cases customers can buy. We, as a school, want to help the situation occurring in our community. Therefore, the PSO will continue and try and provide water for the paid lunches, but there may be occasions when we just cannot because of supply, and so we ask that students bring their own water bottles to lunch moving forward. Thank you for partnering with us.
PSO COMMUNICATION: If you have questions or comments, please email president@glendalepreppo.org. This is a way to voice opinions, concerns, get questions answered, and help with developing future agenda items for PSO meetings.
Senior Thesis Panels
All panels will consist of two main parts: 1)The Thesis Presentation: a brief presentation (of about 10 minutes) in which the student will highlight the essential ideas of the paper; and 2)The Thesis Panel Discussion: a panel of three faculty readers will be convened to conduct a discussion with the student about his or her Thesis. Family, friends, and members of the Glendale Prep community at large are invited to attend. Please enter through the front office to sign in.
Upon our return, the following students will have their panels:

GP Athletics
- Currently, Spring Sports are on hold for the safety of our students and community.
- Please be sure to join your team’s Team App if you are registered to play a spring sport as to stay updated with all of the team updates.
- Please reach out to Mr. Garrison with any questions.
5th & 6th Period Class Switch
For the safety of our community, Spring Sports are currently on hold. Several of the fields Spring Sports teams play on do not have lighting. Because of this, game times are scheduled earlier in the day which means early release times for our athletes. In order to help reduce the number of 6th period classes that athletes may miss, we may be switching 5th and 6th period class on the days listed below. On those days, immediately after lunch, students will attend their 6th-period class followed by their 5th-period class. Please take note of this for any appointments you have planned for your student(s). Please see future blasts for updates. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Garrison.

Raptor System Implementation
In order to ensure the safety of our campuses, we have implemented the Raptor Visitor Management System, which will help us to always be aware of who is on our campus. A communication was sent on February 27th about this change; however, if you did not see it, please view the original communication here. This new system will allow us to track visitors, vendors, and volunteers in a better way. We ask that all visitors have their valid state-issued ID ready to be scanned to be let on campus. The security of our community is of the utmost importance, and we appreciate your cooperation, understanding, and patience as we roll out the Raptor Visitor Management System. If you have questions about Raptor or its implementation, please reach out to Mr. Navarrette.
Uniform Shorts Permitted
As a reminder, khaki uniform shorts may be worn until the end of the school year. Shorts should go to just above the knee but not below, and should not be excessively tight or loose-fitting. White, ankle-high socks may be worn with shorts.
