Hello,
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the parents who attended last night’s PSO meeting. We had 17 wonderful people join us for our first meeting of the year. Your enthusiasm and commitment were inspiring, and we’re excited to build on this momentum! Our goal is to more than triple that number in the coming months, and we can’t wait to see even more of you get involved in shaping the future of our school.
Whether you are a returning family or a new family, we hope we have conveyed how important a strong sense of community is to us. We are proud of the strength of our PSO, yet as we strive for excellence, we always want to grow and be stronger. We are blessed that we have always had parents who have given greatly to our school by volunteering through our PSO. This being said, we invite each and every one of you to join this wonderful group of parents. Your dedication and involvement make such a positive impact on our school community. Please be on the lookout for an upcoming event to meet and welcome parents who would like to find out more about this wonderful group of parents.

Family Giving
As “Unity in our Community” ends this week, we want to thank everyone that has supported our school with gifts to Community Investment! Every dollar is meaningful and appreciated! 100% of your charitable gift remains at Glendale Prep and directly supports our teacher salaries and operating budget to help bridge the gap created by the deficit in state funding. Families that have already contributed to Community Investment this school year and any new donations that are given through Monday, September 16th will be entered into a raffle to win two tickets to the Great Hearts Gala on November 1st featuring country music artist Chayce Beckham!

Anton Sale
We are excited to let you know that Anton Uniforms’ Annual Outerwear Sale begins this Friday, 9/13! Additionally, all oxfords have been added to this sale to extend savings! From 9/13/2024 to 9/29/2024 you can save 10% off all outerwear and oxfords, instore or online! There is no code necessary, all discounts will be applied at checkout. Outerwear includes, jackets, sweaters, crewnecks and hoodies, sweatpants, and even long sleeve polos. While Anton has plenty of outerwear on hand now, holding the sale at the end of this month allows them sufficient time to bring in additional stock before the temperatures drop.
Please note that students may not wear any outerwear in the classrooms except for the Glendale Prep sweater or cardigan. On Fridays, spirit wear includes the crewneck sweatshirt (no hoodies or pocketed sweatshirts).

Athletic Eligibility
GP Athletics is continuously striving for excellence in all we do. As a student-athlete, it is important that you feel both supported and encouraged as a student first. Success in the classroom is not easily achieved; it requires effort and discipline on all levels. This year, GP Athletics will continue the grade and eligibility process. Culture
- The theme for tonight’s football game is construction so please bring your hard hat and safety vest to show school support. Per our morning announcements, students in any Friday the 13th themed mask or costume, will be escorted out of the game and will meet with the Deans on Monday.
- The weather is finally starting to cool off, and students are starting to wear their uniform sweaters and cardigans. Please check your student’s uniform for frayed cuffs or holes in the elbows. Students whose uniforms are excessively worn will receive a uniform infraction.
College Counseling
Freshmen Parent Night – Tuesday, September 17th – 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the MPR. Please plan on attending to learn about the college application process and the resources provided to our students.

Do you have any plans for the weekend? Why not attend the NACAC College Fair and/or The Colleges of the Fenway information session this Sunday, September 15th? The NACAC College fair will have hundreds of colleges represented and will start at 11:00 AM at the Phoenix Convention Center and end at 3:00 PM. The Colleges of The Fenway Information Session will follow at 4:00 PM at Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Phoenix. Emmanuel College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Simmons University, and Wentworth Institute of Technology will all be represented at The Colleges of Fenway Information Session. Please register online to attend.
