A Note from the Headmaster
Hello Parents,
I hope you have had an enjoyable week! I very much seek to live by the Socratic dictum- “The unexamined Life is not worth living.” To that end, it is family survey time. It is vital for me to gather your perspective on my leadership, our academic and extra-curricular programs, the culture of our school, and our teachers. I would so appreciate you taking 10-15 minutes to complete the survey, which can be done from your smartphone. I know we can see these items and put them off for an opportune time, but please do take time to share your feedback. I am most interested in you spending a bit more additional time at the end of the survey, sharing your gratitude to honor specific teachers who have been influential or go above and beyond in loving your child. I use your feedback when considering end of year teacher evaluations. As always, we appreciate honest and candid evaluations and perspectives from our parents to better know ourselves to consider ways we can improve as a community in service to our children.
HERE is the link to the survey.
Thank you,
Mr. Navarrette
Headmaster
Re-Enrollment: Current 6th-11th Graders
It’s almost time for Re-Enrollment! Look for an email from the Great Hearts Enrolment Team on Wednesday, March, 1st with detailed instructions. Secure your student’s spot for the 2023-2024 school year by completing the re-enrollment packet on the parent portal, then bringing in all the required items during one of our available slots HERE. Slots are broken down for families with just Archway students, just Prep students, and for families with both Archway and Prep students. Please sign up for only ONE time slot per family!
When available, please print out the 3-page re-enrollment packet one-sided, and bring it to the GP gym lobby during your scheduled slot. You will also need to bring in a COPY of an Arizona Residency Document (we prefer a driver’s license or utility bill with your current address). The document you provide must list the physical address where the student resides and should match the address in the re-enrollment packet.
Re-enrollment materials will not be accepted or marked complete if any of the required materials are missing.
Time with the Headmaster
Join us for this informal opportunity to meet the Headmaster and Administration and be a guest in the classroom. Please bring any questions you have. This event is for adults only. Please sign up HERE. We look forward to seeing you!

Robotics
This Friday and Saturday, the two robotics teams, Unscheduled Disassembly and Metal Masters, are heading up to Flagstaff to compete against about 45 other teams for the state tournament. Livestreams will be available at the following links: (1) Grand Canyon Division and (2) Saguaro Division. We currently do not know which in division each team will be placed.
The competition is hosted at the NAU Fieldhouse between 9:30 am and 5 pm. Please come by if you are in the area! The event is free and open to the public and we have a good chance of doing very well. Please email Mr. Roper at broper@glendaleprep.org if you have any questions.
Middle School Epic Cycle
Join us TONIGHT, Friday, February 24th from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, for a night of games, music, and epic storytelling! All middle school students are invited to attend. Snacks will be provided, and students are encouraged to bring their favorite board games to enjoy with friends and teachers. The highlight of our evening will be a theatrical retelling of The Lay of Thrym, a beloved Norse myth.
Dress Code: This is not a uniformed event. Coverage should be the same as the standard middle school uniform. No large distracting logos. Students are encouraged to dress warmly, and to wear gym-appropriate athletic shoes. House shirts are also recommended!
Tickets are available HERE on the parent portal for $20 through 5:00 pm tonight. Tickets are $25 CASH ONLY at the door and parents will need to sign a paper permission form in person before student entry to the epic cycle for those who did not pay on the portal.
Cell phones must be brought in a zip-top baggy clearly labeled with the student’s name.
Please email Mr. Kilcup at mkilcup@glendaleprep.org with questions.
