Masks are still required and must be worn at all times other than while eating or drinking. 
Please use good judgment throughout the week to ensure that your spirit week is a memorable one by assuring that your decorations and outfits follow the guidelines below and correspond to our school culture.
All Week: Young ladies who wish to paint their nails blue or gold for this week may do so.

MONDAY, NOV. 16TH: CRAZY SOCKS AND SCARF DAY
Crazy Socks and Scarf Day Guidelines

  • Students may wear any color or pattern socks with their uniforms (no messages, images, or logos).
  • Students may wear any color or pattern scarf with their uniforms (no messages, images, or logos).

TUESDAY, NOV. 17TH: LOCKER DECORATION CONTEST
Locker Decoration Guidelines

  • To promote school spirit, lockers may be decorated with paper in shades of our school colors: navy/blue, gold, and white. (No other colors permitted)
  • Please use only scotch tape on the surface of the locker, as other adhesives can leave a residue.
  • You may not decorate/disturb the decorations on any locker than your own without express permission.
  • Locker Decoration begins at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and ends at the end of Lyceum (1:00 p.m.) on Tuesday. Decorations must be taken down by the end of the day on Friday.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18TH: BLUE & GOLD DAY
Blue and Gold Day Guidelines

  • Students may wear blue and/or gold socks with their uniforms (no other colors).
  • Students may wear blue and/or gold bandanas with their uniforms (no other colors, no logos).
  • Students may wear a GP or plain blue and/or gold hat with their uniform (no other colors, no logos).

THURSDAY, NOV. 19TH: GP T-SHIRT/GP JERSEY DAY
GP T-Shirt/GP Jersey Day Guidelines

  • Students may wear a GP T-shirt, GP Athletic Jersey, or GP Class Color shirt to school.
  • GP Athletic Jerseys that are sleeveless should be worn over a solid color tee-shirt.
  • Students must still wear their uniform shorts, skirt, or pants with dress-code shoes.
  • No homemade shirts. Students not wearing a GP T-Shirt, GP Jersey, or GP Class Color shirt must wear the school uniform shirt as usual. GP Shirts can be purchased here and will be placed in students’ lockers within 24 working hours of purchase.

FRIDAY, NOV. 20TH: LITERARY & HISTORICAL FIGURE DAY
Literary & Historical Figure Day Guidelines

  • Dress up as your favorite figure and earn points for your House.
  • Your costume must be of a literary or historical figure that is in the curriculum or is an accepted classic.
  • Your costume must cover at least the same areas as the GP short-sleeve polo (sleeves just above the elbow, necklines no lower than 4 fingers below the collarbone) and shorts/skirts (no shorter than 1 inch above the knee).
  • No skinny/skin-tight or ripped pants are permitted.
  • Items in your costume should not have any logos on them.
  • You may wear non-uniform footwear (such as sandals), provided that they are appropriate to your character.
  • No costume masks or face paint are permitted; however, students must wear a protective mask in accordance with the normal guidelines. No painted beards or mustaches.
  • Small props are allowed but must be able to fit in your locker and be put away during class, however, weapons are not permitted.
  • Students who do not follow the guidelines for dress-up day may be sent home.
  • You are not required to dress-up. If you do not dress up, wear the school uniform as usual.
  • Gentlemen should dress up as male figures and ladies should dress up as female figures.
  • Students should be careful not to wear any costume that could be offensive to others.
  • The winner of the literary figure dress-up day will be announced later in the week.
