Glendale Prep Calendar

Dear Glendale Prep High School Families,

Thank you for signing up for the High School Retreat at Lost Canyon. This is a significant opportunity for nearly 300 students and 15-20 teachers to create meaningful connections and cultivate kindness from the very beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. The trust and relationships shaped at the retreat will augment the educational formation that the students will experience in the classroom.  The retreat will facilitate bonding over team-building activities, karaoke, leadership exercises, s’mores, and seminars.

Attached HERE  is a packet containing a packing list, camp map, our behavior guidelines and contact information for the camp and for Mrs. Janssen and Mrs. Haley.  High School Retreat specific dress code guidelines can be found on the Glendale Prep Dress Code Document on the GP Website HERE.

Please read below for information regarding student drop off and student pick up.

DROP OFF

Senior Specifics- Tuesday, August 26

Seniors should arrive at school for the start of the school day wearing HS Retreat appropriate attire.  They should bring their luggage to their first period classrooms upon arrival at school prior to the 8:00AM bell.  Seniors will begin the day with retreat activities on campus before loading busses and heading to Williams for lunch and activities from 12PM-3:00PM.  Seniors should bring a sack lunch OR money for lunch in Williams.  We plan to arrive at Lost Canyon by 4:00PM.

*Tuesday will be a regular school day for 9^th-11^th grade students.

9^th-11^th Grade Specifics- Wednesday, August 27

Students should arrive at school for the start of the school day wearing HS Retreat appropriate attire.  They should bring their luggage to their first period classrooms upon arrival at school prior to the 8:00AM bell.  Students will begin the day with retreat activities on campus before loading busses and heading to Thorpe Park in Flagstaff for lunch and activities from 12PM-2:30PM.  Students should bring a sack lunch on Wednesday.  We plan to arrive at Lost Canyon between 3:30-4:00PM.

PICK UP

We are asking parents to plan to pick up all HS retreat students at Glendale Prep on Friday, August 29th, at 3:35 pm to avoid the daily pick-up traffic.  Please pick up middle school students at the regular pick up time and then circle back for high school pick up at 3:35PM.  Students will text updates as to the timing of our return, if needed.

We are excited to partner with families to make this an unforgettable experience with impactful memories for students. As a final reminder, we will not have high school classes at Glendale Prep from Wednesday, August 27^th-Friday, August 29^th.
