Joinus Friday, March 1st from 7:00 to 10:00 PM,for a night of games, music, and epic storytelling! All middle school studentsare invited to attend. Snacks will be provided, and students are encouraged tobring their favorite board games to enjoy with friends and teachers. Thehighlight of our evening will be a theatrical retelling of The Death of Baldr, abeloved Norse myth.
Ticketsareavailable on the payment portal HEREfor $15 through February 23rd and $20 thereafter through 5:00 pm the day of theevent. Tickets are $30 CASHONLY at the door and parents will need to sign a paperpermission form in person before student entry to the epic cycle for those whodid not pay on the portal.
DressCode:This is not a uniformed event. Coverage should be the same as the standardmiddle school uniform and in accordance with Non-Uniform Dress Code for SpecialEvents on page 51 of the Family Handbook. No large distracting logos. Studentsare encouraged to dress warmly, and to wear gym-appropriate athletic shoes.House shirts are also recommended!
Cellphonesmust be brought in a zip-top baggy clearly labeled with the student’s name.
Studentsmust be picked up from the event by 10:15 PM.

Hello Parents of Seniors,
We are excited to be planning the Class of 2024 Senior Trip. The dates are March 3-8, 2024 and we hope all seniors will attend.
The cost will be $1500 per student, and it will cover air travel, all chartered busses, week-long Metro pass, one formal dinner, one lunch, lodging (including daily breakfast), one trip to the theater, and a variety of excursion tickets. We need an initial payment of $215 by August 28th and are offering two payment options:
- Pay $1500 in one payment by August 28, 2023.
- Pay $215 each month (August through February) via scheduled, recurring payments.
Both options will ensure all students have paid for their trip by February 29th. The trip must be paid in full by the end of February. Please utilize our portal to purchase the product HERE.
Refer to the handout in the blue folders distributed at Senior Night on Tuesday for more detailed information. If you were unable to attend, your student can pick this up from Mrs. Ortiz. Please contact Madame Cognet-Pereira with Senior Trip questions.

Dear SophomoreFamilies,
On Tuesday,March 19th, the University of Arizona is providing an opportunity for theGlendale Prep Class of 2026 to visit their campus and learn more about theuniversity. The cost of transportation and lunch will be covered by theuniversity.
It isour expectation that all 10th grade students attend; however, tohelp us plan the trip, ALL students/families must complete this REGISTRATION SURVEY. Students not participating in theUniversity of Arizona trip on March 19th will NOT have school thatday and will be counted as an unexcused absence. The deadline to register yourstudent’s participation is Friday, March 1st at 5:00pm. After thedeadline, any available seats will be offered to interested Junior students.
Pleasenote: due to the length of the trip, students will be expected to arrive at theschool campus at 6:15am for a 6:30am departure. We anticipate returning tocampus at 3:30pm. So, please plan on a late pick-up. We will have students textyou with our ETA by 2:30pm.

Students maywear nice jeans with no rips or holes and a Glendale Prep t-shirt on thetrip to the University of Arizona campus. We highly recommend students wearcomfortable athletic shoes for walking through campus. Students may also bringwater and snacks for the bus.

WinterSports Awards: The Winter Sports Awards will be on Thursday,March 21st. There will be two ceremonies: middle schoolceremony will be from 5:30-6:30PM and high school ceremony will be from6:30-7:30PM. Athletes, please dress to impress in a school appropriate outfit.Light refreshments will be available during the ceremony.

Dance Lessons
Attendees(including non-GP students) are required to complete dance lessons prior to attending prom and must sign up for the lesson times they wish to attend using THIS link.
Juniors and non-GP guests are required to attend six hours of lessons; seniors are required to attend four hours.
Dinner
The meal will include a three-course salad, chicken dish, and dessert.

In ourexperience, students most often struggle with the timing of individual sectionswithin the ACT. So, in an effort to prepare our students, we are offering acombination of school day preparation, optional additional practice testing,and recommendations for free tutoring and home practice opportunities.

- TUTORING OPTIONS
- Arizona Department of Education: Through a new Achievement Tutoring Program initiative created by the Arizona Department of Education, students can access FREE tutoring in math, reading and ACT prep through a variety of providers. The Achievement Tutoring Program offers up to 24 hours of free tutoring to Arizona students in Math, English/Language Arts OR ACT Test Prep. Computer-based, private tutoring sessions are held for up to 60 minutes, for a maximum of four days per week, for a total of six weeks. Tutoring blocks will take place every six weeks with time between blocks.

Dear GP 8th Grade Parents,
Exciting news! We're rolling out the red carpetfor a VIP Hollywood-themed promotion party for our students this year. To makeit an unforgettable blockbuster, we need your support.
1.Join the committee to help set up/facilitate/break down specific aspects of theevent. Limited spots are available on a first come first serve basis. Reach out to me at Rachel.e.harding@gmail.com foradditional details.
2. Financial contributions are crucial toensure our event shines brightly. The average cost per attendee isapproximately $50; however, no donation is too big or too small, and anyamount is appreciated. Also, consider sponsoring items such as food catering, chairs,linens, themed favors for the 8th graders, or anything you feelwill take this event to the next level. Contributions will be collected viaVenmo (see below). Vendor invoices are available upon request.
No matter how you decide to contribute, yoursupport will make all the difference. Your generosity will make this night astar-studded experience and truly be an amazing gift to the class of 2028!
OUR GOAL: Depending onparent-provided contributions, we envision a night filled with dinner, adessert bar, dancing to a DJ, a 360 camera/photo booth, a student slideshow, ateacher speech, and loads of fun for your star student!
So the evening goes smoothly, please be awarethat staff chaperones will be present and the dress code will be strictlyenforced. Cell phone guidelines will align with the typical GP cell phonestandard.
