A Note from the Headmaster

Hello Parents,

I learned this week about a video put together by the Phoenix Fire Department to remember and honor the unity we forged as a nation after September 11, 2001. I remember exactly where I was the morning of this tragic event, remember the conversations, the emotions, and what took place in our country the weeks and months that followed; United We Stand seemed to be the spirit of every American for some time. I am sure each of you have a similar recollection. Fast forward twenty years- it is the case that for most of us, our children are of the age where this is merely a story rather than a personal memory. Our own Glendale Prep parent, John Mure, was one of many members of Phoenix Fire Department who went to New York City to serve. He and so many other men and women modeled the beauty of fraternity; may their service be an encouragement to us as we consider the blessing of unity in a school, community, and nation. I hope you and your family have an opportunity to watch this short video over the three-day weekend.
