| A Note From Headmaster
Hello Parents, I have been thinking recently about the relationship between gratitude and encouragement. I have received many emails of gratitude which have naturally encouraged me just at the right time. Gratitude has a way of not only communicating appreciation but an understanding of another’s situation. I must remember to share my sincere gratitude for our teachers as I ask more of them each week and then change plans spontaneously because there is a need. Their response has been and will be, to adjust as necessary in service to their students. I believe students and parents need encouragement as well. So, let me share my precise gratitude with all of you- Thank you, students (and parents) for learning to maneuver Google Classroom with patience to find the Zoom link (meeting ID and Password), then figuring out how to change your display to read your full name, while waiting patiently after being admitted for all students to join safely and securely. I have witnessed students patiently waiting at the start of each Zoom. Thank you for locating and remembering to complete the 1st or 2nd period attendance quiz. Thank you for the hours of troubleshooting you have had to put in to ensure your internet connection is strong and your device settings appropriate, so that viewing video and hearing audio is effective. (I received a call from my son Luke telling me the internet was out to which I replied, “Ok, what do you want me to do about that?”) Thank you for working to adjust to a full class schedule on Wednesday with only a 15-minute break between classes. We are grateful to be serving you and your family. Let us encourage one another as we approach our onsite return in the next few weeks. Our teachers will need your gratitude as encouragement when they teach students both onsite and online. Sincerely, Mr. Navarrette Back to School Challenge Need a new laptop for the school year?
