| A NOTE FROM THE HEADMASTER |
Dear GP Families,
One of the greatest strengths of Glendale Prep is our sense of community and our shared commitment to the formation of our students both morally and intellectually. Our school thrives not only because of the dedication of our faculty and staff, but also because of the partnership and engagement of our families.
As we continue to grow, we are intentionally seeking to deepen our sense of connection across our campus. There are currently many ways to be involved as parents, whether through our Parent Service Organization (PSO), which coordinates volunteer opportunities, event planning committees, and leadership roles, or through our Athletic Parent Organization (APO), which supports our student-athletes and athletic programs at games and events. We also recognize that this is an area we aim to continue strengthening.
In that spirit, I would love to hear from you. What kinds of opportunities help you feel most connected to our school community? Are there ways we might better support family involvement or create moments that bring us together more often? Your insights and ideas are invaluable as we look for meaningful ways to grow in partnership, and it is my hope that you might reach out and share your thoughts with me directly.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Janssen

Field Day was full of fun competitions and community building! It was wonderful to see our upper classmen mentoring and pouring into younger students in their kin groups. Thank you for the snack donations and to our parent volunteers and our senior event leaders for making the day a huge success!
KINDNESS & EMPATHY FAMILY CONVERSATION STARTERS
As we continue to foster a school culture rooted in respect and virtue, we are encouraging students to practice intentional acts of kindness throughout their daily interactions. This week we invite families to help reinforce these habits at home through meaningful conversation.
- “Think back on your week, did you notice a moment when someone showed kindness or respect, even in a small way? What impact did it have on the situation or the people involved?”
- “Was there a time recently when you chose to include someone, or could have included someone but didn’t? What influenced your choice, and what might you do next time?”
- “When you see a peer who seems frustrated, lonely, or left out, what are some ways you can respond that still feel genuine and comfortable for you?”
